Kelsey is a native of Saginaw, Michigan. As a twelve year transplant to the South, Kelsey has been working to leave a mark on the education system in Southside Virginia for over a decade. Through her work, Kelsey has discovered a true passion for exposing students to opportunities in the expanding fields of advanced manufacturing, STEM, and information technology.

With a focus on student led collaborative learning, hands on projects, and the incorporation of state of the art equipment in an ordinary classroom setting, the last three years of her teaching career have led Kelsey to focus on exposing students in K-12 to education and career opportunities in these expanding fields.

While working at the middle school level, Kelsey noticed an acute interest among students to continue pursuit of these career and technical based pathways as they move forward in their educational journey. She has worked closely with individuals across K-12 and post secondary education to develop and share a one of a kind learning experience for the classroom - unlike anything else offered in the state.

It is the ultimate goal of TECHnista to continue to provide these unique learning opportunities to students inside and outside the state of Virginia.
